SLU Headed for National Accreditation in Teacher Education.

St. Lawrence Univerisity holds Candidate status with the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC). The University's accreditation proposal, an self-study document called an Inquiry Brief, received a clean audit in September 2006 and will be considered for approval by the TEAC Board in early spring 2007. The University anticipates accreditation by TEAC, in accordance with New York State Regents requirements that all teacher education programs maintain national accreditation in teacher education.
