Nicole Chase
Nicole is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling and Human Development Program at St. Lawrence University. She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Nicole also holds an Ed. S. and M.Ed. in Counseling, a M.S. in Health Education, and a B.S. in the Social Sciences and Elementary Education. Further, she has 30 additional hours in Educational Administration which led to her permanent School District Administrative certificate. Currently she serves as the Ethics Chairperson for the New York State Counseling Association. Her past experience includes having taught in the Counselor Education Department at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Nicole has also served as a therapist in a private psychiatric hospital and a marriage and family counselor at the New Horizons Family Counseling Center at the College of William and Mary. Prior to counseling, Nicole worked as a policy analyst and advocate for people with disabilities at the state level both in Albany, New York for the Commission on Quality of Care for the Mentally Disabled and in Richmond, Virginia for the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities. For the first ten years of her career she was an elementary teacher, teaching both first and sixth grades, in her hometown, Broadalbin, New York.
