Reading & Math Tutor ProgramSt. Lawrence University's Department of Education is proud to offer an ongoing program for its undergraduate students to work with teachers in local elementary schools. The program places approximately 60 tutors each semester in school classrooms to help K-4 students to learn to read and do basic mathematics. The tutors are paid through work-study for their time in the schools, and transportation is furnished by the University. Interested students must plan to make 8 hours per week available for the assignment, either on Mon./Wed. mornings or afternoons, or on Tues./Thurs. mornings or afternoons. Applications are due during information sessions scheduled during the first week of each semester. Application for Returning Tutors Application for New Tutors |
